Eye Candy

Hi strangers! Sorry I haven't been as active with my site the past couple of weeks. Once again, I've become stressed out to the max, just took my SAT this morning, and could barely even find time to breath this week. I also just haven't felt motivated recently, I feel like I post the same kind of thing week after week. Hopefully I'll find some inspiration soon and get back in touch with my blog.

I came across some wonderful covers and some intriguing summaries of books today. Thought I'd share and see what you all think! I know I'm racing to add them all to my goodreads pile.

The Name of the Star: Shades of London #1 by Maureen Johnson
Will be published on September 29, 2011 - my birthday!
A modern-day thriller about Rory, an American high-school student who enrolls at a London boarding school for her junior year. Soon after her arrival, a series of murders begins to take place across the city—on the exact dates and in the exact style of Jack the Ripper. Rory’s ties to the killer bring her in contact with a secret paranormal branch of the British police, as they attempt to stop the mysterious killer.

Beautiful Chaos (#3) by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Will be published on October 18, 2011
Ethan Wate thought he was getting used to the strange, impossible events happening in Gatlin, his small Southern town. But now that Ethan and Lena have returned home, strange and impossible have taken on new meanings. Swarms of locusts, record-breaking heat, and devastating storms ravage Gatlin as Ethan and Lena struggle to understand the impact of Lena's Claiming. Even Lena's family of powerful Supernaturals is affected - and their abilities begin to dangerously misfire. As time passes, one question becomes clear: What - or who - will need to be sacrificed to save Gatlin?

Dark Mirror by M. J. Putney

Lady Victoria Mansfield, youngest daughter of the earl and countess of Fairmount, is destined for a charmed life. Soon she will be presented during the London season, where she can choose a mate worthy of her status. Yet Tory has a shameful secret—a secret so powerful that, if exposed, it could strip her of her position and disgrace her family forever. Tory’s blood is tainted... by magic. When a shocking accident forces Tory to demonstrate her despised skill, the secret she’s fought so hard to hide is revealed for all to see. She is immediately exiled to Lackland Abbey, a reform school for young men and women in her position.
