Today's Haunted Blog Tour post is a Mad Lib with blogger Katie, from Katie's Bookshelf.
How it works: I asked her to give me nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. and then placed them into an already-made story with blanks. It usually turns out pretty funny! *The words Katie gave me are bolded.
The title of the Mad Lib is: "Weird Plants"
Have you ever heard of the bright movie called "The Day of the Books"? This film was made 13 years ago, so it was in black and white. It begins when people in Saudi Arabia see a strange clock in the sky. It gives out a flash of light and no one can sneeze anymore! A few people are spared and they see that hundreds of strange, very big, silly-looking plants are growing everywhere. They call these strange potato-like things "Oinks". The Oinks send out long vines and capture pillows and even turtles, and force them to sleep. Then they sprinkle them with pepper and have them for Halloween dinner. Well, one man escapes and he meets a purple girl. They searched all over Saudi Arabia until they found a bunch of fuzzy survivors. They all formed a group for self defense and called it the "American Library Association." By studying the evil Oinks, they found they could be killed by sharing. So they made a weapon out of old cats and destroyed the creatures, and humanity lived peacefully for the next 100 years. After that? Well, the rest is history...
Haha thanks for the Mad Lib story Katie!

I used to buy the Mad Libs books and play them with my sister. I remember some of the things we came up with were hilarious.
