Saturday Spotlight - Hope's Bookshelf

Saturday/Sunday Spotlight is where I feature another book blogger, for you to check out! You should take a look at their site and leave a comment. (: [I got this meme from Kristen's site.]

Name: Hope
Age: 16
Blog Name: Hope's Bookshelf

Share a little bit about yourself:
Well, I just turned sixteen. I'm a junior in high school. I love to sing and play the piano. I have a little brother who just turned thirteen, and two yellow labs, Buster and Brutus.

How long have you been blogging and what made you want to start?
I've been blogging for about a year and a half. Starting my blog was really an impulsive decision -- it was a snow day and I was bored. I saw The Story Siren and The Page Flipper's blogs and I just decided to start one, haha! It's not a really exciting story, it's quite boring, haha.

What does your site have to offer?
My site offers honest reviews, which is the main thing. If I didn't like a book, I'll tell you. I also participate in the In My Mailbox and Waiting on Wednesday memes. I try to host lots of contests too because those are always fun! =)

What is your favorite thing about book blogging?
My favorite thing about blogging is getting to meet and talk to amazing authors and bloggers. I've met and talked to some amazing people in the last year and a half, and I love that about book blogging.

What are your favorite books and/or authors? What about genre in general?
I can't pick just a few books for authors because I'm pathetic like that, but some of my favorite authors are: Sarah Dessen, Elizabeth Scott, Lisa McMann, Sarah Shepherd, Kate Brian, Susane Colasanti, Ellen Hopkins, Kristin Cashore, Jennifer Banash, and Melissa Walker. I'd have to say that my favorite genre in general are the real life kind of books. I love reading all genres, don't get me wrong, but I tend to like those ones a lot.

Thank you so much Hope for taking the time to answer my questions! Any of you who aren't followers of her site yet - what are you waiting for!?
