Paper Towns by John Green

Description from Barnes and Noble:

Holling Hoodhood is really in for it.Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs back into his life—dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge— he follows. After their all-nighter ends, and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues— and they're for him. Urged down a disconnected path, the closer he gets, the less Q sees the girl he thought he knew.

I don't like the hardcover because it's just not interesting enough for me. Not even the text is eye-catching. However, the paperback doesn't really strike my attention either. For me, it would look better from a different angle and not so zoomed-in on the enormous tack. But if I had to choose - I'd go with the paperback.

What do YOU think?

***While looking for pictures of these covers, I came across this one...

It think it was a discarded cover, because I can't seem to find it anywhere on Amazon, Borders, etc. But this one is my favorite!! I like the simplicity of it, yet it's elegant. The shadows are neat and I like the random red tree. (: I wish they stuck with this one, but oh well.

Wow, I love that last one.

There's another cover that I know of - it's the cover my copy has - the Australian paperback: http://www.sparksflyup.com/uploaded_images/paper-townsaus-749522.jpg

The Australian cover is interesting. I like the discarded one as well. I'm not crazy about the hardback or paperback, which is part of the reason I haven't bought it yet. Hmm ... I guess I pick the paperback, too.

I LOVE THE PAPERBACK ONE. BUT ESPECIALLY THE DISCARDED ONE. the red tree totally represent Margo. but i think the cover should have been balloons. and one balloon's string has snapped. i mean, its was the metaphor the dectective used.
so i must have spoiled some of the book. sorry. its a great book. defintely read it!
